Refurbishment workshop

Nothing goes out untested. Our Heath Mill Lane workshop cleans, repairs, PAT-tests and burn-in tests every item, so a family receives something that works rather than something that used to.

Who it's for: Everyone — this is the step between a donation and a listing.

How it works

  1. 1Intake, photograph and reference label
  2. 2Assessment and economic repair decision
  3. 3Clean, repair, test and (for tech) secure wipe
  4. 4Listed on the website with honest condition notes

Electrical safety

Every mains item is PAT-tested and logged before listing. Anything that fails is repaired or stripped for parts, never passed on.

Volunteering and skills

The workshop doubles as a training floor. Volunteers build practical repair and warehouse experience with a reference at the end of a placement.

Honest condition notes

Scuffs, missing feet and battery health are written on the listing. No one should discover a flaw after carrying an item home.
